The Vision of Emma

Honoring Heritage & Intimacy

Emma Rigobert FONGNI founded Perle Rare by Emma from a deep love for African artisanal heritage and a desire to merge it with contemporary luxury. Growing up, waist beads (bayas) were more than ornament—they were markers of passage, alignment guides, and objects of personal intention.

Every crystal (such as Rose Quartz for soft self-compassion, or Tiger's Eye for solar grounding strength) is hand-selected and hand-threaded by Emma in our studio. We choose premium glass beads that will never fade, creating durable, legacy adornments that celebrate the unique curve of your silhouette.

“A Baya is not just jewelry. It is an intimate embrace for your waistline—a gentle daily reminder to breathe deeply, carry yourself with pride, and fall back in love with your body.”

The Three Pillars

1. Cultural Heritage

Preserving traditional West African beadwork techniques and weaving ancestral storytelling into modern design aesthetics.

2. Body Mindfulness

Using bayas as physical anchors for alignment, posture awareness, and a positive, healing connection to your skin.

3. Intention & Energy

Selecting raw gemstone crystals based on spiritual intentions, creating personal shields of confidence, love, and protection.
